Thanks to Senator Dan “Blade” Morrish, for introducing legislation to clarify that one-hand opening and assisted-opening knives are NOT switchblades.
Alaska Rep. works to clarify that one-hand opening and assisted-opening knives are NOT gravity knives or switchblades.
Legislation will allow manufacture of switchblade knives, subject to certain restrictions, legalizes use by more public safety personnel of switchblades, and adds bias toward closure language to definition of switchblade (swing blade) to eliminate potential confusion with one-handed opening knives.
Alaska bill passes House and moves to Senate.
