CJ Buck, CEO of Buck Knives based in Idaho, and president of the American Knife & Tool Institute (AKTI), recently presented legislators with valuable information on knife laws that affect sportsmen and women.

Automatic knives are no longer illegal to carry in Oklahoma.

Effective November 1, 2015 municipalities or counties cannot enact knife laws more restrictive than the State of Oklahoma.

Corresponding bills introduced in the Wisconsin Assembly and Senate would clarify assisted opening knives are not switchblades, allow for limited carry of automatics and permit the manufacture of automatics within the state.

Maine was added to the growing number of states repealing laws restricting certain types of knives.
