AKTI Supports Sportsmen and Outdoor Activities

AKTI Board of Regent members joined nearly 60 members of Congress, including Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and other industry leaders from the sportsmen’s community in Washington, D.C., for the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation’s (CSF) 26th Annual Banquet and Auction on Sept. 6th.

Survey Begins for Industry Report

The AKTI “State of the Sporting Knife and Tool Industry Report” provides an in-depth statistical snapshot of the industry.  Previous reports have been instrumental in the successes of the organization to clarify or remove knife laws on the state level, and moving current federal initiatives.

Knife Owners will have a new federal protection while traveling under legislation advocated for by the American Knife & Tool Institute.

Louisiana Governor Signs Bill Allowing Automatics

May 20, 2018

HB 892 becomes Act 341 and provides that the manufacture, ownership, possession, custody and use of any switchblade (automatic) knife is now legal effective August 1, 2018.
