CRKT®, a brand built on innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration with leading industry designers, today added three new knives to its popular Redemption® line. Developed in conjunction with renowned designer Ken Onion and crafted in the USA in partnership with Hogue Knives, the Redemption® models include a full-sized, blacked-out version and two new compact offerings.
“The Redemption® became an instant classic when it launched in 2023, blending premium materials with American manufacturing and a nod to western folklore, so continuing this tradition just made sense,” said Doug Flagg, CRKT® VP of Marketing and Innovation. “Almost immediately, we were getting calls for a compact version, so adding those to the line and responding to consumer feedback was something we felt was important as well.”
CRKT’s new Redemption® models include:
- Redemption® Compact – Based on Onion’s Deadman’s Hand custom, a tribute to the knives carried by the outlaws and poker players of the Wild West and named after the aces-and-eights hand Wild Bill Hickok purportedly held at the time of his death, the Redemption® Compact features a 3.28” spear point MagnaCut blade for exceptional edge retention and toughness.
Like the full-size version, the Compact is made in the U.S.A. in collaboration with Hogue Knives and features an ambidextrous Crossbar Lock and reversible pocket clip for secure carry. The stainless steel bolster seamlessly blends with the G10 handle scales for a streamlined look. The dagger-style blade is sharp on a single edge and disappears entirely into the handle when closed.
The Redemption® Compact will be available in two models, one with a silver stonewashed blade (shown – $225) and all-black version with black stainless steel bolster and a black Cerakote finished blade ($250).
- Redemption® Black – An update to the vaunted original Redemption®, this blacked-out version features a black stainless-steel bolster that seamlessly blends with the G10 handle scales and black hardware. The MagnaCut blade wears a black Cerakote finish for incredible edge retention and corrosion resistance. Based on his Deadman’s Hand custom, the made-in-U.S.A. blacked out Redemption® is Ken Onion’s tribute to the knives carried on the American frontier. MSRP: $275.
