The latest “Know Your Knife Laws” article by Dan Lawson, attorney and knife expert, shared with Knife Magazine, addresses the basic questions concerning the routine public carry of pocket knives concealed in one’s pocket or handbag. In “The Everyday Knife,” Lawson explains why the American Knife & Tool Institute (AKTI) is working to clarify that pocket knife in legal definitions includes all knives designed to be carried in one’s pocket!

As a nonprofit association, AKTI’s role is to be the reasonable and responsible advocate for the knife-making and knife-using community; educating, promoting and informing that knives are important tools.
