SOG Teams Up With Outtech

May 15, 2019

Special Sales Channel Representation Partnership Between SOG and Outtech

SOG Knives and Tools is partnering with Outtech Inc., to represent SOG in the specialty sales channel in all lower 48 U.S. states. Effective June 1, Outtech will be SOG’s exclusive representatives for specialty independent and chain retailers.

“I am thrilled to partner with the premier sales and marketing agency in the United States,” said Chas Fisher, SOG’s Vice President of Sales. “The partnership gives our diverse line of accessible and premium products the powerful punch required to thrive in the specialty channel. I can’t think of an agency better suited to help take SOG to the next level.”

Established in 1989, Outtech is a 100 percent employee owned company. Widely considered one of the outdoor industry’s leaders in sales and marketing, Outtech maintains a portfolio of brand leaders across hunt, camp, fish, shooting sports and outdoor lifestyle categories.

“SOG has a strong reputation as a leader in the knife category, and we’re honored to be able to play a role in the dynamic growth plans with such an iconic and innovative brand,” said John Seliga, Outtech’s Chief Operation Officer.  “SOG is an outstanding fit for both Outtech and our retail partners.”

The SOG and Outtech relationship begins as SOG reconfigures the manner in which modern knives, tools and other gear are designed and marketed to varied audience of situation-ready customers.

By partnering with Outtech, SOG will be able to swiftly deploy consistent sales, promotional and product initiatives into the marketplace. SOG will now have greatly expanded local, regional and national trade show presence, better-timed seasonal product previews and a powerful, streamlined order-entry system.

About SOG: Taking its name to honor an elite Special Forces military group of the Vietnam era – the Studies and Observations Group – SOG was founded in 1986 by designer Spencer Frazer. SOG makes proven, essential knives and tools used by the military, law enforcement, industrial tradesmen and outdoor enthusiasts for missions of all sizes and scope. SOG’s diverse range of situation-ready gear is designed in Seattle and sold worldwide.

SOG is an active member of the American Knife & Tool Institute and serves on the Board of Regents.
