Knives would be added to existing firearms preemption law that prevents any county, municipality or political subdivision from regulating knives.

Bill would make auto-open knives legal to manufacture, sell, own, carry and possess.

Persons with a concealed carry permit would be allowed to buy and carry an auto-open knife.

Maryland may be added to the list of states that do not permit cities and counties from regulating knives in any way.

Anyone 21 or over would be able to carry concealed any dirk, dirk knife, bowie knife, dagger or knife over 4 inches.
