Olde Town Cutlery Announces Store Opening

August 15, 2018

Owners Lee and Melissa Tigner of Olde Towne Cutlery are pleased to announce the next phase of their business plan is in motion. The cutlery retailer recently announced plans to open a brick-and-mortar store in north Georgia, near their hometown of Dawsonville, Georgia.

The company has been incorporated for a little over a year, and their professionally-built website has been live for about 10 months. The physical store
will be located on the Georgia 400 corridor near the Dawson and Forsyth county line, on the way to the north Georgia mountains from Atlanta.

“Our business has become a repository for high-quality custom makers”, co-owner Lee Tigner said, “and we quickly identified our relationship with the Georgia Custom Knifemaker’s Guild and other organizations as a big part of our opportunity.”

Olde Towne’s product lines feature over sixty brands, with more than half of those being exclusively custom makers. Melissa Tigner, (whom Lee says is the brains behind the operation) states, “Selling custom knives is extremely labor intensive, but we are both knife collectors and passionate about the industry, so that makes the business fun and worth the effort!”

“The knife community has been extremely supportive of us, and in appreciation we decided to give away a knife per week until the end of the year. Our wonderful custom makers stepped up and donated a huge amount of product.” said Lee.  He added, “We want the knife community to be a part of our success, so support these makers by buying a custom knife and get entered to win another one!”

“The Knife Give-A-Way is a way to show our appreciation to the wonderful people who support us, and to help drive some sales.” said Melissa. Each order placed automatically enters the customer into the weekly drawing. And one purchase makes them eligible for every week’s give-a-way.
