State law would “preempt” and make knife laws uniform in Michigan

It’s time now to contact your senators to ask them to vote to approve SB 305.

(May 1, 2015) – Supporter of sportsmen and knife users, Senator Mike Green (R-31) introduced SB 305 to prohibit political subdivisions in Michigan from imposing certain restrictions on the transportation, possession, carrying, sale, transfer, purchase, gift, devise, licensing, registration, or use of knife or components of knives; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. Passing this bill will mean that cities in Michigan cannot make a law more restrictive than Michigan state law. If passed, SB 305 would also repeal Section
