After Day One of the 2025 Blade Show concluded on Friday, June 6, more than 100 members of the knife industry gathered for AKTI’s annual industry mixer held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel – an informal gathering where attendees can unwind, network, and discuss some of the most significant issues confronting the knife industry.
Sponsored by Kronos Knives, the mixer is quickly becoming one of the must-attend events at Blade Show. It provides custom makers, CEOs, influencers, media, and a wide variety of knife manufacturer employees with space and time to discuss issues big and small.
AKTI President C.J. Buck, Chairman and CEO of Buck Knives, gave a brief synopsis of recent legislative efforts, including a win for knife owners in Vermont and hopeful developments in Delaware. He expressed thanks to Kronos Knives for sponsoring the 2025 event.
“We are stronger when we work together, and this event provides the opportunity for industry people to connect, even if for a few minutes,” said Jan Billeb, Executive Director of AKTI. “Plans are already underway for next year’s event, and in the meantime, there are plenty of issues and initiatives to collaborate on.”
