KA-BAR Announces Release of KA-BAR Dog’s Head Utility knife

KA-BAR Knives is proud to announce the release of the KA-BAR Dog’s Head Utility knife, a fixed blade knife that features a 7″ blade made of 1095 Cro-Van steel.  Measuring 12” overall, the Dog’s Head Utility knife has a handle made of stacked leather washers and comes with a leather sheath.

Fiskars division hit with $2.6 million federal fine over faulty knife-ax product

Gerber Legendary Blades, a division of Fiskars Brands Inc., of Madison, has agreed to pay a $2.6 million civil penalty and create a new safety-reporting compliance program to settle federal claims that it failed to immediately report health hazards associated with its faulty Gator Combo Axe, including “serious lacerations” suffered by at least five users of the ax/knife tool.  Read more
