GSM Outdoors Expands Brands – Adds Smith’s Products

December 17, 2025

GSM Outdoors LogoGSM Outdoors, a Board of Regents member of the American Knife & Tool Institute, has acquired Smith’s Products, the market leader in the knife and scissor sharpening categories, adding the Arkansas-based manufacturer to its growing portfolio of rugged outdoors brands.

“This acquisition marks an exciting milestone in our mission to inspire more people to experience the outdoors,” said Eddie Brady, senior VP of brand management. “Smith’s Products brings a strong legacy of quality craftsmanship and innovation that not only complements our existing family of brands but also enhances our ability to serve a broader community of outdoorsmen.”

Founded in 1886, Smith’s Products has evolved from a small family-run stone business, mining and selling raw stone, into a well-known supplier of various knife sharpeners and knives. Covering everything from hunting, fishing, and processing to culinary, camping, tactical gear, and more, the brand’s product lineup spans many categories, providing outdoorsmen a
