CRKT Announces New Sales and Marketing Leadership Positions

November 30, 2016

CRKT, a premier specialty cutlery and tool company, announced two new positions within the company’s senior leadership team, effective November 1st.  Matt McCormick has joined CRKT as Vice President of Sales.  Douglas Flagg, who has served as CRKT’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the past 12 years, has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Marketing & Innovation.

Matt McCormick

In his role as Vice President of Sales, Matt will lead the CRKT Sales team and develop the company’s sales strategy to achieve CRKT’s growth objectives. He is an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of delivering strong sales results. McCormick gained extensive sales management experience in the sporting goods market while working in key sales roles with industry leaders including Nike and Cobra-Puma.

“We’re incredibly excited to have Matt join the CRKT team,” said CRKT President Mark Schreiber. “Matt’s collaborative management style, experience with many of our key accounts and channels, and history of delivering successful results throughout his career will serve him well in this position.  We look forward to him applying his knowledge and skills to help CRKT reach new heights.”

“It’s not often you find a company with such great products, an innovative culture and a dedicated team of professionals,” said McCormick.  “CRKT embodies all of these attributes and is poised to grow quickly while we continue to make our customers happy.  I’m thrilled to be a part of the CRKT team.”

Doug Flagg

In his new role as Vice President of Marketing & Innovation, Doug is responsible for driving the innovation and strategic direction of the CRKT product offering, evolving the CRKT brand vision, setting clearly defined marketing strategies and priorities, and leading the Marketing team to execute plans to reach CRKT’s targeted consumers.

“Throughout his tenure at CRKT, Doug has developed strong relationships with the exceptional designers that we are privileged to work with and has been instrumental in helping to identify and bring to market their innovative designs and mechanisms,” said Schreiber.  “This new position reflects the importance we place on our relationships with designers as well as our unwavering commitment to innovation and building products that continue to lead and define the industry.  We look forward to Doug’s continued contributions to CRKT in this new role.”

“Product is my passion!  My new position will enable me to work more closely with our designers to bring cutting edge products to market that will lead the industry,” said Flagg.
