Buck Knives Announces Appointments CFO and COO

Buck Knives announced today that Trent Malone has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Joe Piedmont has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Malone has over fifteen years of experience in Senior Management, Finance, and Accounting. Malone, former Vice President of Finance for Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, has extensive experience with global accounting and finance operations. His prior experience includes serving as Director of Accounting and Director of Global Financial Services. Malone received his Master’s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Arizona.

As part of his new role, Malone will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of Buck Knives, including long-term growth objectives.

“I’m excited to join the Buck Knives team,” said Trent Malone. “I look forward to developing strategies and assisting the team with the future direction and tactical initiatives of the company.”

Piedmont, formerly Vice President of Operations, has been with Buck Knives for over four years. He first joined the team as the Product Development Manager and was promoted to Director of New Products & Engineering within his first year. Shortly after, he was promoted to Director of Operations. In 2016, Piedmont was appointed as Vice President of Operations. His background includes experience in management, design, manufacturing and product development. Piedmont holds an MBA from Corban University and a B.A from University of Washington. He is currently serving as a board member for Cornerstone Valley, Inc.

“Both Trent and Joe have an immense understanding of business and operations,” said CJ Buck, CEO and President of Buck Knives. “We are looking forward to another exciting year and their expertise and leadership capabilities are exactly what we need to help pave the way.”

As Chief Operations Officer, Piedmont will be managing the overall company operations including overseeing sales, marketing, product development, manufacturing, engineering, quality control, shipping and purchasing.
