AKTI Member Wins Darrel Ralph HTM MADD MAXX

January 31, 2013

SHOT Show 2013, Las Vegas, NV (January 31, 2013) – Premier knifemaker Darrel Ralph chose the winner of an HTM MADD MAXX knife during a drawing at the HTM / Meyerco booth at the 2013 SHOT Show. Assisted by American Knife & Tool Institute (AKTI) Executive Director Jan Billeb, Ralph drew from members who joined AKTI or renewed their membership throughout 2012. The knife was designed by Ralph and donated by HTM/Meyerco to help promote AKTI and the efforts the organization makes to retain knife liberties through education and legislative support.

Ralph noted, “We at HTM are proud to offer our USA made MADD MAXX 5.5 knife to the winner of the ATKI contest. The knife we offered in the drawing is a small token of our appreciation for the line that AKTI holds every day for all knife enthusiasts.”

The winner was AKTI individual member number A002091 from Osawatomie, KS. When told about the lucky draw he said “I’ve never ever won anything before!” He has been a member of the nonprofit organization since September 2011 and was very pleased to add the Hand Tech Made knife to his collection.

“We appreciate companies like HTM/Meyerco who make generous donations to help in our efforts to promote membership in the premier knife advocacy organization working to keep knives in American lives,” commented AKTI President Bill Raczkowski. He added that “SOG Specialty Knives & Tools has donated an outstanding Gunny Fixed Blade knife as the 2013 membership drawing knife. Everyone who renews or joins during 2014 will be eligible to win this knife which includes a handcrafted walnut box with a full-size commemorative Gunny coin and Certificate of Authenticity.”
