

Three luminaries of the knife world, each of whom has played key roles in the success of AKTI, were inducted into The Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame on June 6 at Blade Show in Atlanta.![]()
Rod Bremer, co-founder of CRKT, and Anne Reeve, owner/president of Chris Reeve Knives, were among the three living inductees, while bladesmith and writer Ed Fowler was one of four posthumous inductees.
The inductees were honored for their work in advancing and advocating for the knife industry.
Rod presented his acceptance speech via recorded video message and was introduced by fellow Hall of Famer Goldie Russell of AG Russell. Goldie is a former AKTI president.
CRKT was founded in 1994 and joined AKTI in 1998. With Rod at the helm, CRKT joined AKTI’s Board of Regents in 2009. In 2011, he started the organization’s first anti-counterfeiting committee, now known as the Industry Support Committee. Rod served as VP of AKTI from 2011-13 and was president from 2013-2015.

Anne delivered her speech to a room full of knife industry professionals and other Hall of Famers after being introduced by her son, Tim.
Ed was introduced by knifemaker Chris Amos, who studied under Ed and is an instructor at the Ed Fowler School of the High Endurance Performance knife.
