- AKTI Committee Involvement
Volunteers make associations work. Good volunteers make great associations for everyone! Your involvement is needed to
make AKTI work for you!
Please consider what contributions you can make by being a member of an AKTI committee, or by offering to provide other
expertise to AKTI projects.
AKTI Committees:
Membership
To encourage the enrollment and retention of members to the association and to initiate and coordinate membership services of
AKTI.
Education
To recommend educational programs and work with community service groups to provide opportunities to learn about knives,
knife safety and knives as tools.
Legislative
To watchdog domestic legislation and mobilize grassroots efforts to encourage reasonable and responsible legislation related to
knives and knife use.
Communications & Public Relations
To develop consistent representation of AKTI’s mission and goals in all communication forms to the general public, the media,
the knife industry, government representatives, and our members.

Term: Service on most committees is for two years.
Guidelines:
 | Committee service is strictly on a volunteer basis, with all costs incurred being your responsibility. | |
| You must be an AKTI member (any category) in good standing. | |
| You must commit to attend the Annual Meeting and a minimum of one other meeting of your committee. (Meetings might | |
