Your phone calls, emails and letters to lawmakers are powerful !!!
For more than ten years AKTI has fought for knife rights of individual knife owners across
the country. And we have won some huge legislative victories positively helping millions of
knife owners in California, Florida, Arkansas and now in South Carolina.
For example, Arkansas repealed its entire knife weapons statute based on blade length in early
February 2007, thanks to a bill introduced and supported by AKTI. We introduced S968 in the
2008 South Carolina legislative session. If successful, it would repeal the state’s current law that
says if you carry a knife with a blade longer than two inches, it is a weapons violation.
